Just thought i'd mention it but if you put the speakers in the center where you want to, you wont get the "left, right" stereo sound.

anyway car looks great, keep chuggin' along.

Coz I like 173's...

I'll probably end up doing a 186... Don't like 202's.

Toranaman, I realise that I won't get the 'stereo' effect. But it really is the only option.

I'm not cutting up my door trims, and my feet are too big to fit speakers in the Kick panels.

And my speakers are 6.5"... Not that that makes any difference

No room under the driver side dash...

I dont wanna cut the door trims, because of their condition.

There really is no room in the front of LC/LJ's without cutting doors up, so this will do. Dad had a similar setup in his HJ Prem back in the 80's, reckons it worked alright...

probably wouldnt sound bad at all RIM,its just that you would lose stereo effect as pointed out earlier...if that bothers you, wouldnt bother me.

Yep that's the only problem it will create. If executed properly you could have a very nice sound quality. But yes, you'll lose the purpose of having stereo in the front only.

I couldnt care less...

It'll be a mega improvement over the standard twin speaker system, one under the passenger dash and one in the parcel shelf.

haha.

As long as it cranks out some tunes alright, it's all good!

Stick an 8" in the parcel shelf while you're at it buddy; will do wonders in the little coupe interior.

My engine wont be very throaty or mega loud. Quite mild, actually. Subtleness is the key to this rig.
