Yeah I think I'll get away with a couple of mm of spacer and a tidy up of the excess thread on the bolts...

Finally got around to sorting out the spark issue (I hope), replaced the ignition module on the dizzy and off we go.

Also ordered the spacers for the front wheels, ended up needing about 12mm so I've gone with 15mm bolt-on spacers to be safe.

Rear brake hoses are off so I can get them remade long enough to fit my calipers on the right way up... Hopefully then I can sort out my brakes, or lack thereof

Should really get around to putting these 2" SUs together, and the Mawers of course!

This poor old car is just perennially on the back burner...

Yesterday I replaced the ignition module with a genuine Bosch unit, tipped a squirt of juice down the carby and it started first pop.

That got me inspired so I bled the brakes - I replaced the rear hoses a while ago, so the calipers are non longer upside down - bolted the V5s back on and took it for a lap of the block!

Back on its feet and under its own steam for the first time in a loooong time.

Found a split in the insulation on one of the dizzy wires... Slotted another dizzy in and off we go!

Actually took it for its first proper shakedown run... 5th gear works and all! Sitting on about 2700 at 100km/h, I like it.
