I've got a holden lj torana with a 202 and a 350 Holley. One day i started the car up and it just kept backfiring through the exhaust, nonstop. The spark plugs are new, the leads are new and the dizzy cap is new. The RAA told me to replace the points and check the timing so i did. Still not fixed. I got my mechanic to look at it, he tuned the carby, got the timing right and it seemed to be running fine. The next day i went to start it up and it was back to the way it was, backfiring out the exhaust...HELP!

Could also possibly be a stuck valve - a compression check will find out.
