Factory ones are a nightmare
But you can buy an aftermarket hotrod style one
Which is just a pull type solenoid attached to a lever on the caliper

yes mounted a vf one on a custom at4 pickup
removed the electonics and operated it manualy
put a brake light switch on the cables connected to a light
light on brake on

Bat did you have to modify the unit itself or just do your own wiring?

when you pull out the electonics there are only 2 wires left
the dodge had to go through engineering also
i fitted cmplete front and rear suspension from a vf commodore onto the dodge chassie
with the L98 6lt
passed all tests
