Yep... a lot of places and websites are still listing the sizes... and can even quote you the prices, but when it comes time to actually order some in.... game over.

Just because you can see something on the net doesn't mean you can buy it over the counter in Australia. If somebody has a contact in Australia who can import them privately, I'm sure there would be plenty of people here interested.

Just a thought, can they retread our old cases? Might buy a few more years driving, no performance though.

Retreads used to be available in that size, but do you really want them? I did Dunlops claims for 4 years. I've got plenty of horror stories I could share.

OK, Bridgestone rang me. Basically, there aren't the numbers to support production, as basically only Australia in the global market had a need for them. They are made in Japan. Local Bridgestone Store's advice was to go to a 265/35R18, which is 19mm greater rolling diameter, and 20 years more advanced tyre than the S330's @$718 a tyre. Can get a motor-racing intermediate racing tyre in 18" at $512 each.

Tried to see if I could get just two 265/50R14's in any brand from a number of tire companies. No companies have any tires in this size in any brand. Time to buy shares in mag wheel companies. Where are you guys ordering the Yoki's from?

OK, I've ordered a complete set of Yokohama's, front and back. Mmm, how do I explain this to the director of finance?

Looks like we'll all be going Yokohama. Here is Yokohama's response:-

Hi Pat,

Its hard to get production of these sizes because theyre not a volume seller and consequently that bumps them down the priority list. I just spoke to the product manager and he says that while the supply remains patchy there is no indication that well stop producing those sizes. I think we only dropped one Y352 size in the past 2 years.
