G'day All,
Well finally was able to track down the original plate no's for my car, so went to Vic Roads & ordered them & picked them up on wed & put them on the car. Looks heaps better than the poxy blue & white standard ones they have. Will help sell the car to I suppose.

The plates look great HUX. Great work! It shows exactly how the car would have looked 30 years ago :spoton:

Those black n whites look a thousand times better, old style plates suit old cars, nothing worse then those poxy slimlines on old dinosaurs.

Q? for ya. Have you guards been pumped or its just a bad photo? Those fronts look huge?

Is it ment to be blacked out around the tail lights?

The black plates look real good, how did you go about getting the original number from vic roads?

LX SL/R 5000's do not have the black outs around the tail lights. Eep, good observation, Glenn's is blacked out.

Plates still look ace.

I agree, the plates look the part. Why are you never home when I ring Glenn? Are you trying to say something? :D

Yeah the guards have been pumped out somewhat. Was like it when I bought it, along with the blackout part around the no. plate (this I will return to original). Ref chasing the original no. plates, I was surfing the net one night & I came across my car from an old photo one of the previous owners had posted. This photo still had this old no. plate so I asked VicRoads if it was still available, which it was so off I went.
Gerry you must remember that it was you who was not home night the previous night when I rang.

Excuse me and my retro taste but those pumped guards look HOT!

I think I'll be needing something like that for mine when she's lowered.
