having just returned from europe where the news of peters death didnt get a mention and bathurst wasnt given a minute of airtime or coverage in magazines such as "motorsport world" i am enquiring about the heath of peters co-driver.
whilst overseas i was under the impression he was driving solo but news clip indicates his co-dr. was hospitalised and ive yet to hear anymore on his condition.
thanks.

Brock's co-driver was released from Hospital, if not on the day, then it was the day after the accident.

He was basically unscathed and is perfectly healthy!

And welcome back to the land of OZ!

Mick Hone. They interviewed him at Bathurst. He was there for the memorial.

did some googling and caught up with the news, mick comes across as a sturdy sort of fella.hope he recieves the care and attention he needs in this difficult time. with all the focus on peter and his family and friends i hope the emotional needs of the co-driver arent forgotten. best wishes to him.

I see Mick a few times a week through work and he seems to be as much as you can be, back to normal. Had a good lil chat and a bit of mucking around last week so that was nice, if i can get a a smile or a laugh out of him then my work for the day is done, anything i can do to help.

Mick was Rob Phyliss' sponsor in Aus SuperBikes..In the old SuperBike days he was a hot rider himself..not factory sponsored..more like doing it himself with all the Yoshi bits he brought into the country. Top bloke..would take more than a shitty 12" tree to give him a headache!..He will probably throw rocks at me for that comment....Ask Phyllis..Syiff.. as we loved to call him..If he is a tough character...I saw him do a real good cartwheel at Sandown one day...Got up..brushed off and said..How F88ked is the bike??..
