THIS IS THE THING, I AM TORN BETWEEN PAINTING IN ANOTHER ORIGINAL COLOUR , OTHER THAN KASHMIRE AND KEEPING IT NICE SWEET AND STOCK, OR GOING CRAZY WITH COLOUR AND MODS,

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
ITS INTERIOR IS SPOTLESS, NOT A LOOSE THREAD IN THE CARPET
TACHO SAYS 9000 MILES, INTERIOR AND PREVIOUS OWNER COULD SUGGEST THIS IS TRUE, I DONT KNOW

PLEASE FORWARD ANY IDEAS/ PAINT SCHEMES

rEGARDS GREG.

Wow... that's a hard question.

I'll go with "get a two door" because that looks absolutely mint and you don't want to modify such an pristine example of an original car.

mint, na its alright, the old bloke i brought it from had a go at respraying it, bless him. yep paint is shitty! there is no rust and it is gun barrel straight, scince the pics were taken i have put the original badges bak on it.

it will be mint after a squirt of paint though. and re upholster the top of the rear seat, thats it,

thats an interesting interior colour!!!
when i got my LC SL, it was exactly the same as yours, though already lowered.
My back seat is exactly the same as yours too! And my interior is baroque red.

Mate i reckon throw some nice wheels on it, lower it, give it a polish, and itll be one nice looking lc!.

btw heres my car have a look

yes looks good, i like the wheels, something i noticed on urs was the sl badge on the grille, do you know if this was standard? mine had a lj one on the grille, scince i have replaced with the lc script badge

i dont know what looks better, the original black around the headlight surronds, or the autosol finish, both i think.

i was thinking of daytona bronze for a colour.

im pretty sure mines original.. mines also kashmir white, ive grown quite attached to it.. although it does need a respray as it is the original paint.

My thoughts are it is a great example of a 4 door... yeah just tidy it up and throw some nice wheels on it, if you want to have an XU-1 copy buy a 2 door as well and play with that. Good find..enjoy

Keep it stock, just toughen it up a little with a nice set of rims (sprintmasters?) and a few highlights of black perhaps?

turn it into a beast mate, 4 door stock torries look boring as. Can't go wrong with a bright colour, some big rims, dropped on its ass and a big fat engine.
