Just after some help & guidence. I'm running a fairly warm stroker in my SLR with a T10 gearbox and the clutch plate & pressure plate are heavy duty. The car is mainly used for the odd Sunday cruise but I'd like to give it a few runs at the drags + on the circuit.

After doing about 30 odd laps of Simmons Plains the other day (with the Canberra/Sydney Torana clubs who are visiting Tassie) my clutch plate let go  . I haven't pulled it out yet but I'm pretty sure I broke a couple of the springs. Thanks to the blokes there on the day I was able to just get the SLR home

Is this problem just one of those things that happen from time to time or do I need a stronger clutch set up?

Also which clutch plate suits a T10?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Give Mal Wood a call or email, he is in QLD but knows his stuff, I'm currently talking with him about a hydraulic clutch setup in my car. Visit his WEB SITE here and have a look. Recently they fitted a T56 into an LX SLR5000.
