I have been told by a local racer here he used the HQ disc conversion on his LH then fitted Toyota Landcruiser Series 80 4 spot calipers on it! There are 2 types evidently..early ones have a large and small puck, later ones have 4 pucks same size. Disc size is 286mm I think he said, 25mm thick ventilated are std on the Toyota which is the same size thickness as the HQ. Mounting holes are 90mm or 3 1/2 "apart.
Would be interested in comments. He is very happy with them..says they were made to stop a 3 tonne cruiser and work great on the LH.

Go pick one up
They weigh a ton
Unsprung weight is pretty important on a track car like yours Rory
Get away from these cast iron hunks of shit and go alloy
They usually go on a 302mm x 20mm disc too
But yes I have seen them adapted onto HQ stubs and HQ disc

So many backyard setups.......... but hey...... lets re-invent the wheel again

A couple of blokes over here run those landcruiser calipers on thier Centura's, they seem to do the job okay, but like datto says they weigh a tonne....

It's better that the questions are asked here before anybody spends the cash.

A guy over here had hilux 4 spots on his Hatch, but same deal, heavy as all buggery.

Go the Brembo's or AP's for sure!
