Big Day Out

Sunday, November 12th is Brocky's Big Day Out, expecting a huge turn out for this year's event, the first without the great man.
As noted in the Herald Sun, the FX that Brocky raced at Goodwood Festival of Speed will be in attendance.

Wondering if this day is to be organised with a cruise to the Hurstbridge Pony Club or if people wanna just make their own way there?

What's the VTC doing Heath?
Have you guys been in contact with the organisers of the event to secure parking/displays?

Hope to see many Torries and owners there in attendance.

i almost thought this event wasnt going to run this year!

i definatly want to head out there, be it in the torana or the HQ! Who else wants to go out there? Id be up for a bit of a cruise...

i agree if the VTC dont give them a call how about GMH-Torana give them a call, much like TORANR AMORE did at the sandown event...

Bloody meeting being next week and not this week...

I can't discuss it. So I don't know what's happening as of yet and I'm really bloody busy right now. Losing all my contact details has not been helpful either.

I've gotta go to school I'll make a few phone calls tonight and see what I come up with.

The VTC is not doing anything officially that day, however it is on the runlist so there will definatly be members there. One I know going is WYLDLC or Chris. I personally won't be going as I'll be going to the Sandown Historic meeting as it has more appeal to me and I cannot go to this on Saturday as I have cricket. Would have liked to have gone to the Brocky'd Big Day Out though.

A few Eastside Cruisers are heading out in convoy to this. I've kept in touch with the organiser, but unless you have big numbers there's no need to book a display area. We're just rocking up and parking wherever we end up on the day. The key though is pre-entering which will guarantee your spot. You can still take your chances on the day, but if it's full (800 cars max so I'm told), only the pre-entered cars will get in. Our entries went off last week, I'm hoping to get our entry stickers back today/tomorrow.

Looking forward to catching up with a few people there, look out for LXCHEV and come up and say G'day.

I think doing my VCD Outcome is a priority atm as if I fail to hand it in tomorrow, I fail the unit. Although I sorta don't really care. I dunno... I'll upload them at some point, don't hold your breath.

'Tis not. That is the one that was found in the Moorabin Factory roof recently. And yes, the "apparantly" seems like an appropriate word to insert into the sentence.

It would appear that no one else seems to actually know anything about the eBay one; today not even all of the forum members had heard about the one on eBay let alone anyone I spoke to who wasn't on the forum.

I don't know how people manage to drive that VY Commodore with all the writing over the windows, but good onya Holden for donating the car for that purpose!

yeah i couldnt make it today. i started work early in the arvo so i couldnt get either of the beasts up there.... pretty dissapointed i didnt go as well....
