From what I was told the Brock 28C car out there is a reshell with the original tags, the #1 Brock car is the original 73 car or whats left of it. The 72 or 73 ? Bond car was written off and reshelled and was at the XU1 nationals as Harry sold the shell to a guy in SA and he reshelled it with a new GMP&A shell back in the day. Whichever one that was, the guard was the one on EBAY. Harry rang the seller up and put them in their place.

Anyone got pics of these colours as there was an LJ 2dr getting a spray job/resto at a Panel beaters in Taren Point NSW. The colour was a real dark teal blue colour, it honestly looked shocking and my only conclusion was that it was a super rare LJ colour or the owners a complete noob head.

From what i know the stamped chassis number has been verified to match the adr plate.

So its either the original shell or reshelled incl inner guard, the later doesn't sound like something they would bother to do back in the seventies.

The car that Colin drove in the 1972 Bathurst race was not a "Bathurst" model. It was a 4/72 car that was raced in the earlier long distance races. It was repainted & upgraded for the 1972 race.

Andrew.

HDT had 2 cars built on the 3-8-1972 which i was told were the cars for bathurst 1972. ( Appartantly not ! ) Could one of these cars have been for Bondys assult on the 1973 Australian Rally Championship ? Was Brocky,s 1972 Bathurst winning car a 8/72 car ?
