hi i just got a trans rebuilt and the told me to flush out the trans line holes with kero is this normal

Yes.

After time the oil will become burnt if not maintained correctly. (Hence the brown colour not red) AT this point if that does happen changing the fluid will nto fix the issue as teh old stuff trapped in the system will containmate the new oil. So a flush of kero is done to clean teh system then air is blown through. once this has happened the new oil will stay red. I usually blow compressed air through the setup after the kero to get as much kero out as possible. May I suggest that the pressure be too high you do not need much. Remember the radiator hold a tank in it for cooling and this does hold a quantity of fluid, Same thing goes for a dedicated trans cooler.

Extended response. This is why I suggested the air to blow it through. Most auto mech use the kero then run fuild straight through it into a catchment bin. and just use the new fluid as a detergent/washign agent. In your environment you will not have that option.

Not that I've tried it, but could you use some metho after the kero to try and get rid of the kero?

so kero is safe in transmission cause when i got it bak from the shop it stank of kero so im wondering if theres a little in the trans would that damage anything

You will find it is shellite not kero (similar smell) they use this as a solvent to clean the parts.
