As per the Silverstone Events web site;

Classic Adelaide, Australias best and most acclaimed tarmac classic rally will celebrate its tenth anniversary this year when it is run on November 16-19

Arguably the biggest classic car rally of its type in the world Classic Adelaide has once more attracted a capacity field of 350 cars for four days of competition through the Adelaide Hills and around the South Australian capital.

The entry list will be headlined this year by six times Bathurst winner and tarmac rally expert Jim Richards in his Porsche along with a field of exotic machines from Ferrari Mercedes, Maserati, Jaguar and BMW.

According to Chairman of Classic Adelaide David Edwards the event will again bring a huge influx of competitors to South Australia from around Australia and overseas underlining the international significance of the rally.

Classic Adelaide has become a major fixture on the international classic rally calendar and is now acknowledged as the best run and largest rally in the world, said David.

Again this year we will have a full field of over 350 cars with 700 competitors and more than 600 service crew which will inject more than four million dollars into the South Australian economy over the four days of the event, he said.

Silverstone Events has established an enviable track record staging the Classic Adelaide in South Australia over the past ten years on closed tarmac roads through the Adelaide Hills.

This year as was the case in 2005 there will be a huge contingent of the red cars with a whole herd of Ferraris taking part in an event within the event as part of the Australian Ferrari Challenge Rally.
Every major sporting marque will be represented at this years Classic Adelaide including teams from Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes and Maserati, David added.

The 10th anniversary Classic Adelaide will also reward those drivers and competitors who have been a part of the event from the start by awarding a special 10th anniversary trophy to any driver or co-driver who has taken part in all ten events.

The rally will again be based in central Adelaide with the field returning to the city each evening where the public will be encouraged to get involved in a range of events including a food and wine festival on Friday night.
