Hi,
I recently bought a disc brake LSD 9" for my ss hatch, i have been told it is either 3.55 or 3.7:1 centre, i have taken the centre out and the only numbers i could find were as follows, these were stamped on the crown wheel:
FORD D 1 AW 4210 A 3
does anyone know what these numbers mean and how i could find out what ratio it is?
any help is appreciated
Cheers

That is a Ford part No. There should also be another number ie 33/11 this is the ratio (33/11 =3.00) if not then count the number of teeth on the crown wheel and divide by the number of teeth on the pinion gear.

Someone may be able to help with those numbers, but if you have it out count the teeth.
Edit: too slow.

ok i counted it up its 44/16 = 2.75, does this sound common??
how much could i expect to get for a 2.75 LSD 28 spline centre if i were to sell it and how much would it cost to get a 3.5 LSD centre?

Id give u $200 for the centre, just for the case and the LSD, the gears aren't worth 2 bob, cost more to change gears then its worth.
3.55 centre around $800-1000 for one with new gears.
