Is an V8 aussie yolk the same a 6? I know the uni's are bigger and I think the spline is the same but is the bush in the extension housing the same?
Any help appreciated.

A 6 cyl Trimatic yoke can go where a V8 trimatic yoke was and vice versa. As you have pointed out, the difference is in the uni joint.
