just need another $1000 for billet axles. Don't want to break an axle, they can make a real mess of your car.

The 28 splines will handle 500Hp easy Coln...they are doing 600HP in sprint cars here for 3 seasons.

i wouldn't worry about the splines, the spools put alot of force on the axles and they can snap between the flange and bearing which will result in your wheel flying off. This happened to me a week after i put the spool in and 3days before i was going to go to eastern creek circuit. I have to agree with lakeside and say invest in billet axles even if you get them in 28 spline.

rorym, if you go to any wreckers in Melb, you will find near every VL/VN with missing the axles. Stock VL turbo's wreck them, so how long would they last with a good V8. Why do you what to play with a toy diff like a B/W, they break. A 9inch, you spend your money once. Even HDT used the trusty 9inch.

Id still spend the $1100 and buy a set of MW billet axles, just get them in 28 spline, so if you ever decide to change over to a 9" or a large US 10 bolt you can retain your axles.
