If any of you read my post with the pics from the cares I went to the other weekend would have seen a pic of an Orange XU1. Well it is the same one that has a feature on the AMC sales site.

yeah its a bit sad having to abandon xu1 race cars with their ever increasing value. Good news for other owners if another one disappears off the map, tho :)

I agree. This is what they were built for and at the end of the day I think this guy got as much fun from racing its tits off every weekend than from say just letting it sit in the shed and watching its value go up.

Just finding the apex of the corner :D

Targa NZ is awesome event . I provided support and service for a couple of crews in Toranas who came over from Brisbane to do it in 2003 . They had both done Tassie and said Targa NZ was a better event . Unfortunately neither their LC or LJ made it to the end

Glad to see you liked it. It certainly is a fun event to watch. I am glad it is popular with some of you ozzies as its good to see the variety of cars.

The last time I saw Brocky alive was in one of our targas. he was hooning around some tight corners in a red Monaro.

Yes , that was Targa 2002 . A very special event for me ; my first Targa , competing in the same race against Peter Brock , talking to him after the event about Toranas of course , and his signature on the car as a momento .
Priceless !!
