I went to put some hotwires on my car to fulfill a long time dream and bugga me if one of them has got 2 pinhole leaks thru the rim itself!! Is there anyway this can be fixed or is it now destined to become a garden hose holder ?

There's a few places in brisbane that could repair it for you, or try and get a inner tube fitted

Pin holes? If it is just porous (and not cracked) use either 5 min araldite or sikaflex from the inside.
Maybe have it crack tested first. Engine builder should be able to do this.

Crack test the rim first, if all ok then look at getting a sealant paint (like slate sealer) and paint this on the inside, this will membrane the inside and make it hold air again.

Two places come to mind....what sort of person does crack testing ?
1. Mag wheel repairer
2. Engine machinist.
These are the first two I would try...
Cheers
PS: Engineering shops when doing suspension/steering things needs to xray bits so they would be able to point you in the right direction if need be as well..
