No. But interesting car. Must have some historical value with "dyno tape labelled gauges". Very intrigueing.

I think the exterior of that already looks hot, but I'm not so into the racing drivers seat and standard SS passenger seat idea. No offence but anyone that can build up a car that hot can afford an extra few hundred bucks for a second racing seat can't they? It looks a bit rice

I suspect it could be an ex Group C car and he hasn't changed it too much, hense the gauges and interior.

I get the feeling it's something to do with the sway bar or something because it was mentioned in that photo of the rear end being jacked up wasn't it? Too tired to know or care, but I would like to find out what it is if it doesn't require any effort, lol

lol no Heath, a transponder gives you a signal back to your pits for things like lap times. The bracket is there the transponder is gone. They never had transponders back in the days or group C, it must be something recent

thanks for straitening that out, Red. Indeed it is a very nice car but I would have done a few things a bit differently. Good to see a Torana built with a budget it desserves ;)

Transponder is merely for lap counting/lap times, you click the lap counter into the bracket. There is a corresponding loop under the track start/finish line that goes directly to race control. There is a separate system for in-car telemetry that goes back to the pits, can be an aerial, or just recorded in the car for dissemination of the data after the race (earlier systems).
