With the short pedals I recall on the LC/LJ I'd suggest a 7/8" tandem cylinder
To retain the original look you would have to get someone to double sleeve a standard 1" down to 7/8 and make pistons to suit
I would first try a simple easily avail 7/8 unit like a Datsun one to see if the feel and displacement are adequate before you spend alot of money making a custom cylinder. This would mean abit of muching about with pipes and maybe using some sort of adaptor plate on the firewall to mount it. But its probably worth trying first
If the 7/8 is too soft then a 15/16 would be the next step up
You'll probably find the original 1" one abit heavy

I drove mine around with no booster, the pedal feel is fairly solid as you would expect.I asked the local brake shop if they could resleeve the m/cyl & fit a different piston to suit just to see if it would work but they didn't want to do it as I also had rear discs so it may still have been a mismatch according to them.
