chassis number alj11723a no tags to go off gen gtr front guards only 1 spare wheel bracket any other ways of working out if this was a gtr or an xu1 many years ago? any help would b great

unfortunately not.
GHM only kept records of vin & engine numbers

Don't know where you or the car are from, but the rego people may have some records if you have any idea of the previous rego. Old sticker on windscreen etc.
If you can trace the history you might find some proof of the vehicle identy.
However even if you can get that evidence, without the original vin number there is no actual guarantee.
