after finishing installing my 4 speed i took the ute 4 a drive and when i go to brake there is a big hiss of air and the brake pedal moves towards the firewall by itself and the brakes come on like ive got a handbrake on all 4 wheels???im thinking maybe during the pedal install due the need 4 a clutch ive some how st uffed the booster?? any help would be great cheers mark

Did you change the brake pedal at the same time of just add a clutch pedal ?

just the clutch pedal and cut the old auto pedal to suit.however there was a bit of too and froing as i had to put the longer bolt thru the brake pedal as i used a hq ratrap that needs the tension plate 4 the clutch pedal mounted in the same hole but on other side of colum cheers mark

its possible the booster is shot

ta datto .pulled the booster out and i #@$^%& it by moving it sideways trying to fit the long bolt.i should have taken the time to drop the column and the booster connectig rod.because i was a lazy prick and tryed to shortcut i'm paying for it. DO IT ONCE AND DO IT PROPERLYits possible the booster is shot

Only 2 things. Booster is shot, or you changed the master cyl actuating rod!
