Due to the earthquake in Taiwan that took out several undersea fibre optic cables it has interrupted service to the web site for the Riverina Torana Club. Although at times its still accessible authorities are still unable to give an ETA as to when service in the region will return to normal. So if you are trying to view the club website please be patient as its out of our control.

Gawd!!!

Have a chat to Phil, our webby. Our site is hosted here, and rates are pretty good. Think our previous site was hosted in Romania or something weird, same intermittent problems. The dude that hosts our website is also a Torrie freak!!

yeah noticed the ACT one was down. The remaining network is either at max load or they have broken the link while they fix the fibre.

Ours is back. Yours?

---> Yella imagines a group of Indians in the middle of Asia, shaking heads saying oh my goodness, there is no copper in these damn cables, how can this possibly work.

No luck so far. This is the blurb the hosting company sent.

Series of earthquakes in Taiwan on Tuesday caused damage to a sub-marine cable, which affected ALL major upstream providers in Asia. As a result, overseas connection to our Hong Kong based datacenter at iAdvantage has become either unavailable, or very slow and unreliable.

A crew has been deployed to the site by the entity responsible for the cable management. There is no ETA at this point on the completion of these works.

In the meantime, the network engineers at iAdvantage are making efforts to restore some connectivity through alternative channels.
