Gday,

I am looking at purchasing a frontcut of a lj to use the guards and nose, and maybe valance off and was wondering if there is anyone in the sydney area willing to lend a hand to doing the job, preferably someone who has done it properly before. I cant really afford to screw these panels up, so i need some help from someone with the knowledge of the job.

Thanks in advance.

Dean

Phone me on 0405 362 290 if you wanna have a chat about it.

dean, here's some pics of the front end i unpicked last year.

taking your time i did over a weekend, 1st time i'd ever tried it and i also never knew that the whole could be unpicked and slid off as one piece.

the only tools i used was a 4 1/2" angle grind with the wire brush, 6mm spot weld drill, 1" thin chisel.

NEVER USED THE GAS AXE.

I got youe message mate and i look forward to hearing from you. Thank you also for the pictures, as i did not know the entire thing could come off as one piece. I removed the previous front end with some mates and bro, but whoever previously rmeoved it did such a bidgey job that it was near impossible for us to do the work without mainly using a grinder.....reason for me getting another front end lol.

Where can i find 6mm spot weld drill bits????

you can get the drill bits at any panel paint shop for about $8ea.

it helps if the your donor has never been unpicked, its pretty hard to do the job cleanly if it had previous panel repairs as they could only reweld if they didnt use a spot weld machine.
