Hey guys - with all this talk about how many SS's were built, I'm just wondering how many L31 SS's came out with an auto. I have one contessa gold, chamois interior L31, M40, GU7 (to restore), but never seem to hear of any (SS 5L auto's) on the forum. Just curious I suppose...

exact numbers...God knows, but there were less 5.0l SS in auto or manual made than 253 and 202 models.

Add mine to the list of SS L31 M40 GU7s. I believe the majority of SS L31 were M21s.

I think autos were a little more common across the range than manuals, especially considering you couldn't buy a manual SS 5.0l after aug 77.
