can any one show me a pic of a genuine resinator (small muffler up near engine pipe) are they like a hot dog shape or like cylinder shape with rolled edges. cheers.

Hi
I don't have a pic of an original but the orginial was cylindrical in shape. It was part of the engine pipe assembly and not a separate item. There are a couple of companys still making them (the engine pipe assembly) both have the correct shape for the res.
One just went on eBay for $255

i've seen a sample of the ones for sale on ebay at the 2005 torana fest, looked very nice.
It is the cylindrical shaped type, im chasing the hotdog shaped one to suit the lc gtr

I wouldn't worry about a front resinator. Just run the run muffler, that's all you need and it sounds great with only the rear mufffler.
