Dangerous, i had a talk to Greg M last night (I'm sure you know who I mean) who happens to have a 1971 Bathurst XU1 in the shed. He is the second owner and the original owner happens to be a good mate he has known the whole time. Greg also bought his valencia A9X from the same guy. Now he read the article and was a little confused by what they were saying but said absolutely it's the aussie M20 with the ratios stated, not an opel. His car was untouched when he bought it and I think it's one of the nicer ones I have seen around.

Hi All,

I have a LC 10/71 Bathurst Xu1 in Baroda Silver that is under a full restore and it has it's original gearbox m20 899 cluster with the casting date of F 29 1 on it and I have tracked it back to it's first owner, the Australian Federal Police ACT.

Cheers

Xu1
