so if thats a closed chamber head then mine is an open chamber head. i have mucha bigger bowl in my head but i got the acl pistons to bring up the compression instead. is that all that tight kidney shape machining is ment to do??

mostly. it also creates a quench area, this squishes the air fuel under it and forces it toward the spark plug for better combustion.

i currently have that head in the pick and acl flat tops, and my comp ratio is 12:1. bit steep. gonna get some dishies and drop it down to 10:1 or so, i would go higher but i plan on running nitrous.
