I have news, bad news at that!
The springs i have installed have turned out to be FRONT springs, not REAR springs, i was talking to bob from bob's exhaust and he told me this.
Michael from Bernie's auto is going to ring king springs back up tomorrow and complain, trying to get me another set, ones for the rear.
Sorry about this guys i'm not too crash hot on suspension... just starting to learn.

Thanks,
Rhys.

as i said alx76 i'm still learning.. could say i'm a slow one at that. a little offended at that comment but i'll keep on truckin.

i did notice the springs were different, though they did sit in there just fine so i didn't make a big thing out of it. didn't move around or anything.

thanks guys for all of your help.
regards,
rhys.

Rear springs for torana have small coils on both of the ends, the spring goes in small- this is used as a locator to hold the springs in place.

Also not trying to be nasty here as we all started from scratch somewhere along the line, but I seriously recommend you buy a "TORANA" Workshop manual, just read it over a few times and get to know everything on the car, you dont have to be a whiz bang at everything but I recommend a manual to the novice car repairer just to be safe, there not expensive and in your case would of saved a fair bit of stuffing around for you. But hey like I said its just free safety advice, not trying to put you down, at least your giving it a go, but you got to do it safely 1st.

cheers LS1LX,

yeah i've got a manual, didn't bother to read it though, thought it was such a straightforward thing.. which it actually is i guess i just stuffed up, i've been doing it a few times lately. i've got a few things on my plate. she's right, i'll figure it all out, hopefully sooner rather than later.

about the camira springs, they are no softer than torana ones, most of the coils are thicker than standard and my car actually handles better with them

apologies for offending you but it is sound advice, as with getting the brake thing wrong, i understand you are learning, but these things can kill you or innocent people when you get them wrong.
by all means we are here to help and i strongly recommend you ask all the questions and post all the pics you can.
cheers.

Yep i understand alx76, i'm trying to do all i can on the car myself, it's the only way to learn. In no way do i want to endanger myself or others out on the road. After getting these things correct i'll still definately be getting the car checked over by specialists and also getting an engineers certificate.

Thanks again,
Rhys
