What size tyre would be reccomended for a 14x7 on the front of a lh.

My problem is that my 13x7 hotwires w/ 205/60 scrub eaisly if the wheel moves into the guard too far when turning (pulling into servo for example). I do not know what offset the wheels are.
I realy hate this scrubbing as it sounds horrible and has bent the inner lip of my guard down, causing the paint to crack slightly on the outter edge of the guard, Not happy!

Rears...

What is the minimum width a 14x8 rim can take?
What is widest tyre that will fit under a lh rear on a 17x8 rim?

Advice...

My 13's are far too small.
What size tyres should I be gettin for the rear to give it more rolling distance, without going too big and making my speed all out of wack.

I had a 205/60/14 in the front without flares but with a spoiler and they would only rub on full lock in reverse. The offset is a crucial factor in front tyre rubbing. The further out towards the edge of the guard the thinner tyre required.

This page will answer all the questions about what size tyre for what size rim and what affect it has on rolling diameter.

I have 17x8's on my car with 245/40 tyres. I wouldn't go much bigger than this, if you get a perfect offset rim you could probably go a little bigger.

Legally you can go 245 on a 17x8, I had 255's on 17x8's and it filled the guards perfectly, no scrub and looked fat, I put 245's on for the blueslip and I swear there is a 1/2" extra clearance on both sides of the tyre.

The 255's were a shitfight to get on the rim, the 245's go on with ease.

Ideally I want 17x9's on the rear and Id run 255 or 265's with the lip roller and inner lip folded as well.

As the 8" rims look in to far, where as the 9" rim I could of had another 1" of dish showing.

I had 13x7 hotwires on my LH sedan and LX hatchback with 215/50x 13 tyres and they must have had a big offset because I had to roll the lips on all guards.
