lots of great idea's to take note of :spoton:

I too am planning to build a garage real soon. Been looking at 6x9x2.7 but now im thinking of going upto 3m in height for the handy loft storage.

I noticed that prices do vary a bit from company to company which would prob reflect quality?

Anyone recommend a company that they used and are happy with the quality and price of the garage, in Adelaide that is :D

a local guy had a sweet hatch with 400 chev about 18 yrs ago. a waterbed was stored above it in the garage and just days after it was painted down came the waterbed. was a fair excuse to put in a sun roof. from then on i have never put anything above a car i cared for.

2 things ive done
fill in the triangle above the roller door with laserlight
get some old carpet and underlay for the floor
trust me when you laying on the floor its heaps more comfortable
i use some old lino strips under the car and near the grinding wheel
the last thing you want is to set it alight

yeah but when you weld for a living, you make sure things aint gunna come down. muffler tube is mighty strong when used correctly. at our old rented house we had so much stuff made of muffler tube! HA, because it all needed to be temporary (although we were there for 10 years) mufler tube and colourbond panels. held up through all the storms and winds, and stood for 8 years (and was hard to take down) and all the tube was still usefull.

Great soundproofing - thick MDF board on thin battens with foam from Clarke Rubber. Bit of overkill for a shed but top bandroom

Living in Karratha you should be able to afford one! Unless you work at Ezy Video, but I haven't seen you there!

This is a mobile bench bought from a local scrapyard and it's the best thing in my shed. Just wheel over to your car and you have a mobile bench.

It had a rubber top glue on over the chipboard and it works a treat. It also stores under my main work bench when not in use.

1 Im in a company supplied house
2 That house is rented
3 Sheds cost twice as much to buy and build here because they have to be cyclone rated
4 If I brought a house with a shed here I wouldnt have enough money to spend on the torana :<_<:

Not quiet true, all of the sheds I have looked at getting in Perth are Cyclone proof, they are exactly the same as they supply you up there, the only difference is the transportation cost.

in Sydney NSW cyclone rated just means they supply you with extra screws.

Funny thing is, sheds are rated for a higher cyclone catagory then most of the houses :D 180km/h wind is cat 4 whereas I belive most of the houses are rated to cat 3 118 - 159km/h
