Been doing some engine building these holidays for one of my cars.
I haven't got the carbies and aircleaners I want yet, so I've slapped some mismatched hollies on just for the pictures

In a steel nutshell its a worked solid 5Ltr, solid 272 crane cam and lifters with BRC rollers and max ported L34 Heads to flow a good 400 HP, 4-1 Castlemain Extractors, high volume wing sump and JP oil pump. The fuel system consists of a Holley blue petrol pump with 1/2 inch fuel lines with filter and regulator (all Holley).

In more detail I've basically got the half the crane catalogue put in the top end. crane molley retainers, crane possy locks, screw in studs and crane guide plates, crane double valve springs, etc.

Also double row rollmaster timing chain kit and Black motor VK electronic dizzy.

The port job was done by Dougans balancing, who ported it as much as they could. You can stuff all your fingers down these ports (minus the thunb)

I'll be using a Eddelbrock Torquer at first to get it running.
I only just bought the Tunnel Rams from YiriSS today. He's a top bloke with a nice beast of an SS hatch.

The rest is Top Loader, Nine Inch and twin system

Old School and better looking than a turbo, I think anyway.

Couldn't agree more, lol. Awesome looking machine there, and after you explaining why you chose everything in person it has to be one of my favourite projects. Things are so much better when you know the reasoning behind them ;)

A lot of engines these days seem to be going injected or blown etc. Nice to see an old skool example of a raw V8.
