Well done reda9x in posting the pics, Im having a hard time here with a new computer connecting my old stuff, Id be a few days away b4 i got anything scanned.
Anyway, lxcham, the 6 cylinder version , showing the separate receiver dryer, (cylinder near the condensor) has some nasty plumbing next to the aircon box(the "poast" stuff) is that what you have?
Or do you have the v8 style VIR(valve in receiver), where the nasty valve stuff and receiver dryer are one integrated unit?

Wow, this is why I joined this forum, the members are full of knowledge.

Awesome post Red. Thats the kind of info that saves a bucket load
of guess work and money!!!

There is apparently a genuine GMH factory air con unit on ebay now.

I did not know there were so many different units out there!!!

Bit different from today's cars eh?!

EVERYTHING is different.

I know all about that. I pulled an air con unit out at the wreckers and I had to take everything of the ventalation system, even parts that look the same have brackets or something small different about it. It took three trips to get it back to the car.
BTW does anyone know what an air con place would charge to finish instillation and make it work, I will be installing most of it but some parts I don't know or remember.

Devilsadvocate, you're chanting......

I bet your car is Chrishna orange...

LOL, only kidding!!

------------

The things we take for granted on cars today as stock options
as opposed to back then eh? Must have been a bucket load
of people making stuff and selling thru dealers etc.

Sad we dont have the diversity today. Sniff.
