Well if i am comming then a friend of mine will be comming along in his genuine LJ XU-1. I am just waiting on someone to make a firm decision on the route, then post a map with the route, also whats the go with the food? i dont really wanna go somewhere thats gunna cost an arm and a leg. (im tryin to do this on a budget) and then i will decide if i am coming.

I'll try and work on a bit of a map and plan over the weekend.. Ive been flat chat at work!

Will do me best.. But hey.. looks like were going to have a great turnout!

We should think of an alternative incase it rains too... the way sydney';s been lately it might just happen! LOL!

Cheers!

Wow the numbers keep on growing :D

I thought it was BYO lunch (i.e. ham & tomato sanger lol) & the Cricketers Arms for dinner (link to menu above) if that dont suit the majority im sure we can all be flexible & work something out that suits the whole group. Other peeps thoughts??

That's right mick, It's definitely BYO lunch, and you can eat as much or as little as you like at the cricketers.. even BYO there if money's that tight!

Thats a good show of interest and the date is set, do we have a start point and time yet?
Oh and don't forget to book dinner i week in advance if going to the Cricketers Arms.
Should we let the drive in know we are comming or will we supprise them.

alright, well im budgeting 100 dollars for petroleum, and figure that i can get by on 30-40 dollars for tea, BYO lunch, thats saves some dosh, then there is just the drive in. how much is that worth?? i will even go as far as to bring my own nibblys for the drive in :tease: im getting there. My mate with his Xu-1 will probably just come for the drive to the dam, as he is an older guy and just enjoys the driving part. Is there enough parking at the cricketers arms? and should we tell them about the numbers of cars coming? i was just thinking bout "off street" parking.

im not commiting to anything at the moment, so as not to dissapoint. but fingers crossed i will make it. (just gotta ring work an get some hours)

CHEERS Chris :spoton:

I think we can surprise the drive ins... Drive in tickets are about $12 adults same as going to any movies.

Will be talking with the cricketers arms about booking a table, and there's ON STREET parking directly out the front that i HOPE we can take.

Cheers

I count approximately 16 people so far! I think we better call the cricketrs arms abd get a table for 20.. Prferably out the front so we can see the cars!

I'll get to working on an itinery and map ( sorry been HELL busy with work!)

Cheers.

I think the itinerary should be something like this:

9:30 Am Meet at Bunnings Casula ( Maybe the Crossroads tavern car park - more visible from the road),

10:00 Am Depart carpark, Travel down Hume Highway to Picton Rd and turn Left. - Follow this to the Mt Kiera Lookout. Approx arrival 10:45

11:30 - Leave Mt kiera lookout and head to Cordeaux Dam - beware speedhumps. - Stop for Lunch/picnic/relax/chat

2:30Pm Leave Cordeaux dam and head Via Picton around the back toward silverdale/warragamba/wallacia. - We need a stop here somewhere.. who's got a reccomendation? Approx stop time 3:30 ( 1 hours drive)

4:30 leave Warragamba rest stop and head to Cricketers Arms Tavern.

5:00 - Dinner at Cricketers Arms Tavern

7:30 - Gates open at movies for 8:30 Session start. Double feature - 2 fields - movie TBA approximately 1 week before ( when the GU website shows us!!).

Movies usually complete by around 11Pm.

What do you all think? A map is too hard at the moment!

Cheers.
