is it because you did very little to what you claimed?

i know your car exists, your stupid but not stupid enough to get rid of it

i'm expecting big things for the 30k you have spent on it!

when will you update your thread to calm all our ideas?

That looks awesome Dan! I really like the R8 wheels! If you can get them to sit like that, it'll look awesome!

Its been ticking along, problem is i moved the car from my shed to somewhere else for a lot more room so i have to work around hes shifts. I work normal day shifts he does 10.5 hours so time is tight haha.

The gap between progress was a frOckup with the TUFF mounts, sent me commodore mounts :(

Pleased to say, fitment was near perfect, inch at least from rear of sump to the cross member and 5mm+ from bottom of sump to cross member, few inches off rack, engine covers fit fine, 1-2 inches off the booster. The only issue will be the heater taps at the rear need to be shortened and the heater box trimmed down a tad.

Finally got the stubs off and swapped over for the Hopper Stoppers conversion, what a nightmare! Had the wrong grease so didnt fit it up tonight

So expect pics tomorrow of kit fitted and test fit with VY R8 rims on the front!

Nothing it was great, it was removing the torana gear namely the stubs and pre-rounded brake lines

Brake line need replacing but managed to get the stubs off and clean them up

Cannot fault the Hopper Stoppers kit at all! $1490 well worth it!

That looks great! How do the wheels go up the front? Do they hit much? I like the look

they dont foul anywhere, gets close on full lock but that will free up more clearance when lowered

you will love the brake upgrade, probably the best thing i could have done compared to the ol torana units, cars coming along well and i think thats where i may end up going in the future with the choice of engine. Looks awesome Dan

definately needs to be dropped... there will be a whole different suspension setup going in it but for powercruise i will put these back in heavily chopped haha

and yeah in regards to the engine, ive had some pretty stout carby strokers and a few injected/worked v8's and they just dont cut it, i think its the lack of torque

got 2 and a bit weeks to get the bay done before i get the diff back, but by then i will have the rest of the funds to, i'm pretty happy its progressing quite fast compared to most builds

Good to see you have some progress going on there instead of dribbling away like some others do. Keep up the good work should be sweet when its done.

i did my fair share of dribbling, its sat alot in the time i've owned it + the wasted time on the Rb26/30

but cheers anyway!
