Hers a pic of my LJ at Toranafest in November. Its nothing too special its just a respray in Holden Red Hot, standard blue interior, standard 173 engine with exhaust & extractors, sprintmaster mags, lowered pedders springs.

I remember this car.

I am looking out for ideas, paint, tints, wheels etc. I dont get to see many poor old 4 doors around, Seem to get cut up for parts.

Always liked your SL Steve, because its similair to my kashmire lc, neat and tidy.

Do you remember that hothouse green 4 door with the v8 in it at toranafest Lows2?

yeah that thing was a beast - there were plenty of tough cars up there. I have a pic of an LJ 4 door that was on ebay ages ago now, but always loved how it sat with the tubs...one day i guess hehehe.

the thing i can never decide on is weather blackouts suit 4 doors, Around windows, or sills & beaver pannels.

Im hurt RIM.....

That hothouse green 4 door was a POS!! i mean it looked nice, but ran like crap, and honestly, i cant stand cannons (large straight throught chrome mufflers on rear of car) let alone 2 of them and mounted so tackily. JEEZ. but its ok, i got top 4 door at toranafest :tease:

i sprayed the blackouts, without them it just looked too orange and it needed something to break up all the colour, so chrome and black finished it nicely. Also has a custom trim job, deleted arm rests, custom headrests on front seats, mild 202, 2.5 inch exhaust, Tripple SU carbs, in dash DVD, GTR dash.
when i first started there wernt a whoe lot around (thats why i went the four door) but more and more are getting around. Just means more competition/ people to stick it to the 2 door guys.

Thanks man. :spoton:

I think from factory some non GTR/XU-1s LC/Js had black down the bottom of the sides, like mine does. I don't mind that. The full blackouts can look good on a four door, because IMHO if you not looking to see if its a 2 door or 4 door sometimes you miss seeing the back door handle, and the 2 and 4 doors have the same roof profile.

Personaly I like the four doors a little underdone (Mags, Neat condition throughout, Nice paint job and a mean Holden 6 under the bonnet) than crazy (dumped, 308/350/454, 20" rims etc).

I quite like your car too orangeLJ. Love the Orange and the 'Jellybean' Mags. Its a really groovey colour. :spoton:

thanks steve, its always good to get comliments. my blackouts are slightly different to that ofg XU-1s etc, instead of running it up around the outside of the tail lights i stopped it under the bumper and changed some angles and stuff.

i am looking at some new wheels ATM, but i am goin to try them out first to see what they look like. they are currently on a HG prem wagon and are 17 inch chrome 5 spokes. would of like 15 inch, but these have come up.

Hey All a nice selection of 4 door Torries i have never seen. They are the forgotten cousin but in my eyes they are better looking than the two doors :spoton: Could start a nasty debate those words. Anyway a few pictures of my car.

I'm finishing off a 4 door at the moment.. I love it, but I don't see it to be better or worse than a 2 door. The 'granny' look works better on a 4 door tho.
