its been a while since i posted anything about my car,but ive been hard at it still.
im 95% through rewiring the whole car and have built an aluminium dash.
i plan on tinting the aluminium when it goes back in to reduce the glare.
im slaping it all together to get rego asap so i dont get burnt by the new rollcage laws.
once its rego'd i will then restrip it and paint it all

Argh these laws that are coming in are ridiculous. Looking sweet anyway, hope you don't have any rego issues *fingers crossed*

the costs are high but im never gonna be able to build something like this again, so im siezing the opportunity

Dont mind a bit of rice, as long as its got the go. Hate damny ricey cars with 6 exhaust pipes (only 2 connected) or something dumb like that.

JapX1, your car seems to be coming along nicely shame about the law changes but looks like you got everything pretty much done. Your engine is looking very nice as well.

Don't mind me mate, I'm just an old fart still living in the 70's. But I do appreciate your work and should have said so.

Hey Jap,

The work looks unral mate its a credit to ya!

Can i ask about the dash though.. isnt it illegal to replace teh crash pad with anything harder than the original material? for head impact and all that?

Something you may want to check out with the RTA before you get too far!

Hope its not a problem for you anyway, Looking great!
Cheers!

its an 8/70 model car.
the adr you speak of is ADR21 and was introducedon january 1 1973.
therefore it does not affect my vehicle, nor any lc for that matter.

yeah no worries mate.
this car used to be 350 chev equipped. my bro has an awesome 202 lc.
so im no stranger to the old skool :D

the thing is once you feel these engines when they are making serious power your perception of what a performance car should be changes.

i can have 700hp and still drive it like an everyday car and get good fuel consumption aswell

and when it hits boost you better hope your lunch is digested lol
