think this might be interesting, which do you prefer and why? LC-LJ 2 Door or the LC-LJ 4 Door. i like the 4 doors, the 2 doors rear 1/4 look too big for the size of the car, and 4 doors seem less common around shows.

This subject has come up before and besides the looks of the cars, more 2 doors won Bathurst than 4 doors. Hence the popularity I would assume. :spoton:

The only way a 4 door lc/lj looks good is if you remove two of the doors and cut 40cm out of the centre and reweld it, yep nothing like a 2 door. Coupes are always sexy and they're worth the bucks! No use owning a poor mans 4 door.

2 doors probably do look a better or sportier, but in terms of practicality... you can't go past the 4 door. :tease:

I can't imagine how much of a pain it would be sticking my racing wheels in the back seat if i only had a 2 door. Or my computer. Or having to have mates step over a folded front seat (specialy since most people have no idea how to treat an old car right!).

2 doors are practical too sometimes! I could only *just* fit the 68cm tv I got in the passenger set of my 2door, wouldn't have fitted in a 4door...

Are you serious...
I think two doors are more popular in every single model whether it be a HQ.. LC.. LH or even VG/VF Valiants. come on. two doors are sexy..

I like 2 doors but i own a 4 door.
Had a 2 door but got rid of it as 4 door donor i got to fix the 2 door was to good to wreck and 2 door needed to much work.
At the end of the day i dont really care as long as i enjoy it and hopefully the 2 door boys keep wrecking the 4 doors to fix there 2 doors so that the 4 doors becomes rare :gun:

Now be honest, how many 4 door owners would, if you could, swap for a 2 door version. Now, how many of you 2 door owners would swap for a 4 door. The defence rests. I don't have a problem with 4 doors, the more LC, LJ Torana's that are kept alive the better, 4 or 2 door versions. I Just have a soft spot for coupes.

2 Door LC/LJ's aren't Coupe's... Merely 2 door sedans.

But I agree.

Why arn't they coupes? Does this mean a HG Monaro is not a coupe.

A HK/T/G Monaro is a coupe. Look at the roofline on the Monaro compared to that of a Sedan.

in the LC/LJ's, however, the Roofline is the same, just in the 4 doors they've bolted an extra set of doors in there...

In my book, and I am sure others, a coupe is a 2 door.
