Wasn't a bad race but I was expecting a bit more from the channel 7 broadcast. I know it was their first telecast since getting the rights to the racing but you didn't know where anyone was coming if they weren't in the top 5.

Anyway, looking forward to Sundays race - Go Holdens!.

I must say that the GRM cars are some of the best looking cars getting around the track

He was being blocked by a slow car that braked too early and should have let him pass. Ingles hit Lowndes harder than Lowndes hit Wilson so that kinda says Wilson braked too early and Lowndes is a better driver than Ingles.

But thats just my opinion.

Virually no "carnage" though and no "pace car" unless I missed something?

With the dejevu, you couldn't help but "feel" that Whincup was not going to let "Ned" get on the podium.

Lowndes is a Holden driver, it's in his blood, he'll be back.

In first half hour they do some interviews which are not flattering to the new range of SPARCO seats.

Well for mine the producer has so much track microphone noise dialled in it is near impossible to hear the commentary.

How is it fair for Lowndes shunt some one first race of the season and get a drive through penalty. Yet Kelly takes out Lowndes in the last race of the season when he is his nearest competitor get the title. I think some consistancy is needed. Just proves to me more and more what a JOKE V8 STOOPIDCARS is.

My 2c Cheers SUPALJ

you gotta love old L.P
,never afraid of letting the stewards know they stuffed up.

i agree R about the sound balance being out.
i thought there were too many close ups also for such a tight track.

i have to say larry would have to be my favourite person in the sport atm. He says whats on his mind and has taken a big risk with his drivers. good on him for giving em a go. Also on that show last week, they interviewed him and his son, seems like its not the case of "daddy has the team so i can race" deal. Jack actually has to work for his old man. good on him.

Hey Mick,
I dont know if they did it in the first race but they had the placings from first to 31st going across the screen pretty regularly on Sunday, so I thought we were well informed of placings.

Fair performance from RK 15th to first, Also good to see Murph competetive again until his car stopped that is hope his luck changes soon..

Regards
Duck05

Sundays telecast was much better. They showed the placings at the bottom of the screen so you knew where your team/driver was coming. That didn't happen on Saturday and apparently they got alot of complaints (we know what we want.)

Early days yet but it looks like it's going to be a long tough year.

Mick.

I have a question...............
How can a 1st and a 2nd be beaten by someone with just a first???
I mean Todd Kelly won race one and got 2nd in race 2. How come his brother rick won the round by winning race 2 and obviously a result worse than 3rd in race one.
Can some one explain that to me please? What are the point allocations for 1st to 3rd?
