What is the best way to remove the bonnet safety catch. It appears to be held together with a long rivet.

And after its out.. just use a long nut and bolt?

thanks ;D

hi

I just bent the spread, ( i think its aluminium) away from the washer. It was a bit of work. Had the latch zinc coated and then put tit back together. looks fine. If they doesnt work or you stuff it up go the bolt!

I replaced the rivet with a stainless bolt and nylock nut.
