Hey does anyone know roughly what I should expect to pay to have my LC minitubbed?

Any info would be good :)

Nuthin' if you cut up some 44 gallon drums and do it yourself.
or expect to pay 800-1200 bucks.

one place quoted me 1200
i got it done elsewhere and he only charged me 800 because he was doing a lot of other work on my car and included the tubs cheaper.

It's been awhile since I had it done but I think mine ended up costing around the 4-5k with mini tubs,coil-overs/diff brackets & chassis rail mounting bar,3in tailshaft, enlarged tunnel with toyota h/brake,modified h/brake cables & b/w,rear discs, lsd diff with 3:89 gears.

I did it this way in case I wanted to fit the largest wheels possible at a later date.

Could be done much cheaper if you square shouldered the std tubs, kept the springs & move the shock absorber to the inside of the chassis rails.

Yeah mine ended up costing a fair bit all up as i also had the diff shortened,3.7mini spooled centre, shocks moved inward, billet axles and hq brakes done.

Thanks for all the replies guys :)

Was thinking of just having the existing ones squared up to fit a wider tyre in there, and getting a 9 inch diff.
What size tyre should I expect to get in there?

Is there anywhere on this site or forum that has some lc/lj 9 inch/rear end specific info?

Don't know much about it, so any info is useful :)

If you get them squared up i think you would get a 245/60/15 in there getting the right offset rim and diff length will also determine that
You just missed out on my old 9'' housing would of been perfect for you it was 3'' shorter than standard and fittted a 235/60/15 easy
