This project has taken way longer than planned, but now theres some light at the end of the tunnel. Body is fully painted, chrome is going back on, mechanicals rebuilt although the engine still has to go back in. Juz redid all the trim whilst working at Garry Blackman Motor Trimming over christmas and has just finished rebuilding and replumbing all the brakes. Early 2010 is now the target for rego, then maybe l can get him started started on the body of my SLR5000

Definitely an unneccesary comment. This kid has put hours and hours of work into his car, and it definitely shows, and you've got nothing positive to say? Stop being so one eyed and learn to appreciate a nice car when you see one, regardless of make or model, and you will learn to appreciate the cars you already like much more.

Awesome. Inspirational. I love it.

mate that is an absolutely amazing effort. to get it from what it was to what it now is is something he should be patted on the back for...heaps of times.
to paint it gloss black shows balls and confidence in a dead straight body and it certaintly is dead straight. Awesome car!

Thanks for the positive input guys. The Falcon is a tribute to his dedication and willingness to stick at it, even when things don't go right. When its done he will have done the lot, panel, paint, mechanicals and trim.
Beige_lj l've often got the Chevy out and about on the weekend, Blackburn Road is a regular.
Heres a shot of my Chevy reflected in the right hand rear quater of the ute.

Bloody awesome job. :clappin:
Good on you for being supportive and teaching him along the way. I will bet plenty of work went into
getting those panels straight ! We all know that gloss black hides nothing.

Agree with Tim about apreciating a nice car when you see one.

its only ignorance that leads people to criticize fords (or vice versa) if people knew the work that goes into creating such great products with such a tiny industry as we have in this country, they mighten be so quick to criticize.
Love the thread, love the work put into the car. More photos please...
