I would like if possible to track down my old XU1

I can give all the details

VIN 82911JL212479
Body # ALJ 11618A

The engine that is in the car will not be the original as I blew the SH**** outof it a while ago

The last time I saw it was at the RAAF base in Wagga in 1976/77 at that stage it was NSW registered. It had been painted Silver instead of the original mettalic Lime Green. I have attempted to trace it through NSW RTA but the privacy act got in the way

Your best bet would be to speak to the RTA again and ask them to direct you to the freedom of informaton act.

Each state have a FOI so you may have to systematically go through each state to find your car but the best part is that you know the VIN

hi all ,i was able to track down a former car in sa ,as i had all the cars info , by having( transport sa )foward a letter to the current owner. the privacy laws are very strict here, but a few weeks later a phone call from the owner!!. hope this helps, cheers daz...
