To those of you who run flares and 15's, please enlighten me with the visual pleasures of your rolling stock!

Also feel free to boast about what dimensions your tyres are, brands, mags, backspacing etc.

(I have given up on 13's and 14's and trying to find tyres. I'm doing this to try and justify spending the big dollars to buy some 15's... :<_<: ...)

Cheers.

levis - car looks hot mate! How heavy is your steering with 15 x 7's and the 225/50's??? Same question for you hawks!!!

Do your cars handle pretty well with that combo?? Don't suppose you know the backspacing for those 7's? Any clearance/rubbing issues???

Here are my specs... also running 15" Convo's all round, with flares:

Rears: 15 x 10's (5" backspace) with 265/50's. Always used BFG's, but you can't get them anymore. Now the 2 choices are Sumitomo, and Jetzon's in that same size.

Fronts: 15 x 4's with 165/80 Hankook's. (Unsure of backspace measurement, but they are the ones that have the ripple - torries with no flares usually use the non-rippled 15 x 4's).

In the future I would like to buy another set for the front - either 15 x 6's or 7's, and run either a 205/50 or a 225/50

PS. MRNOS, love that torrie mate, damn that is sweet!

Actually, all the torries in this thread are SWEET AS!!!!

PS. Further to my last post - prior to buying the 15 x 10's, I used to run 15 x 8.5's, also with a 5" backspace... and wearing the same 265/50's. With those rims I was able to dump the ass of the car really low, no probs.

I am yet to try lower springs again since fitting the 10's, but I'm definitely not happy with the stance anymore... needs a good couple inches out of it... hopefully I can make it work!

WOW! Some really nice combos there! Keep them coming! :spoton:

To anyone who has there tall and fat tyres engineered in NSW... How the hell did you do it!? I can't find an engineer who will even talk to me about tall and fat tyres!

Cheers.

P.s: are such tyres readily available? how expensive are they? what stud pattern are your mags?

thanks for the kind words!

the stearing isnt to heavy i cant really remember how it was to start with though...i dont have full lock at the moment they catch on the front of the gaurd but ive had a look and it can be fixed.... also with the low springs had to trim the gaurd back abit.... the rears scrub at the moment they will need cutting back to  just got to work out how to do it.... it handles well tho even without full lock as long as its not the slightest bit wet...
