Dude, that thing looks so nice with the Welds on it..... in my personal opinion I would leave it exactly as is!!! But of course, we all have different opinions! I reckon it looks ace that's all!!I have weld wheels at the moment but am thinking of putting centre lines on it

lol fair enough, it does look tight there. You will have to fill some holes up too if you fit A9X rear flares, compare the bolt holes to the ones on my car.
PS, Neils wheels right? Nice.
Yep they sure are Neale Wheels. I dont think they still make am i right or wrong.

.you can go one inch higher or wider in ROLLING diameter than factory without an engineers report.so you can use 19's if you can keep the rolling diametre rule. but the track part doesnt apply anymore like it used to.since you are in NSW the law is, one size up in diameter and one inch each side of the original width, so yes 10's are illegal technically. So if it came with 13x5.5 like most LH LX, then you can go to 14x7.5 legally and you must remain in track. 99% of guys with big wheel combinations track is wayyyyyyyy out.
To anyone who has there tall and fat tyres engineered in NSW... How the hell did you do it!? I can't find an engineer who will even talk to me about tall and fat tyres!
as for big wheels, well i got mine engineered last week so here goes:
the front rim width must be within 70% of rear rim width-so a 10" rim on the rear requires no smaller than a 7" rim on the front.
cars from 1201kg to 1400kg- maximum rim width is 9" BUT because we use 9" diffs with heavy duty f100 wheel bearings designed for dual wheels our cars can legally be pushed into the 1400+kg bracket meaning that we can use 10" wheels as long as we stick to the 70% ruling.
at this stage track doesnt mean anything.
also! be aware that cars without flares using anything bigger than a 245 have massive ride height issues. thats why the cars with 275's and bigger as pictured sit that high its not funny as you can clearly see in the pics. just out of interest sake i can get 4" from the top of my rim in the rear guard
edit: john from Consulmotive is the guy i am using for my engineers report.

Just questioning the rationale used here.cars from 1201kg to 1400kg- maximum rim width is 9" BUT because we use 9" diffs with heavy duty f100 wheel bearings designed for dual wheels our cars can legally be pushed into the 1400+kg bracket meaning that we can use 10" wheels as long as we stick to the 70% ruling.
You've quoted that cars of mass 12-1400kg cant exceed 9in rims.........isn't that more to do with keeping the footprint of the tyres in the range where it wont become overly prone to aqua plane in the wet rather than the strength of the differential.

Stud pattern?
Single pattern, or multi-fit's?
Backspace?
Brand new/never used, or excellent condition/but used?
How come you're so keen for a 7"? I was thinking a 205/50 would probably sit nicely on a 6" rim.... do you want fatter tyres??

...And the 16 x 9's with 255/50's and 16 x 7's with 205/50's on the blue hatch.
If I had my time again I would go 15's coz wide rubber is a b1tch to find for 16's.
Don't flare it Kurt.

wat rims are those on the black hatch TORLX8? and wat pattern and offset are they?
VK, the wheels on my BLUE hatch(often gets mistaken for black) are ROH Chicanes.
They are Torry stud pattern.
6 inch backspace on the rears & 5.5 inch on the fronts from memory.
ALX76 Posted on Mar 18 2007, 04:58 PM
