Gidday all just got the frontend in my sons lj coupe overhauled with new pedders shocks and king 2 inch lowered springs new bushes rubbers etc.
My problem is that i dont like the way that it drives now as in tight cornering and uturns etc. When doing a uturn the outside front wheel is on a weird angle and squeals the tire even at a tiny 2mph . Is there a recommended alignment setup to
for more performance driving rather than daily driving as this is not a daily drive and will be entered in some sprint events in s.e. Queensland.
Any thoughts or measurements that will improve this setup would be much appreciated.

I'd be starting with +2 castor, -1 camber and close to zero toe in. Gerg ( 82911 ) runs a more agressive setup, but his car is race track only.

Have you dropped the front end down 1" like the XU1s by drilling lower mounting holes for the chassis? Sounds like the problem.

my father was a mechanic with dick johnson in the early seventies.
he remembers cutting the crossmember bushes from xu-1s in half in addition to other front end mods.
this pic is of a car running in qld historics.
