I had a claim with Shannons about 8 to 10 years ago when some uninsured tosser ran up the ass of my Sandman. Had no dramas at all. My choice of repairer and payment was made within the same week as the accident. :spoton:

Why look anywhere else?

im 19 and got my hatch insured with them with me as owner driver.

7k value..1200premium..500excess i believe..

bit pricey imo.. but they were the only ones that stayed on the phone when i said modified 308.

when i turn 20 it goes to 850 or so..alot better.

well you guys must just be lucky then, when i rang i was 17 and they didnt want to talk to me, and told me they didnt really "Cater" to the under 25 year old market, as it wasnt their primary market.

when i got the UC. i rang shannons said they wont touch me because i haven't got enough driving experience, im 20 with no incidents what so ever, completely clean, having had the car in the driveway i buckled and went with just car (which i hate). $1500 premium $6.5k agreed value, by them, its worth double that. and the excess, i just got woozy thinking bout it..........as much as id like to be with shannons but it's the second time they have screwed me over.......

Ive got full comp insurance with my SS hatch, through Shannons. At 23yrs old and have lost my licence a few years ago, aswel as a few extra tickets in my short driving history.
The premium was under $800 a year for a $20,000 insurance, not bad considering RACQ wanted over $2000 a year and had over double the excess of Shannons.
I have held 3rd party insurance since I was 17 which I would recommend if not taking out full comp as your rating gets still gets better as long as you dont have a claim.
