The Group C cars - A9Xs, L34s, Commodores, Falcons, Celicas, Escorts, and my new Gemini (ex Terry Finnigan 1980 under 1600cc class winner at Bathurst in 1980) and the Group A cars - Skyines, Walkinshaws, Mustangs etc will be doing 3 races supporting the V8 Supercar Development Series.
As well as the Gemini, which will be driven by forum member 82911 (Greg), I'll be racing my Janson / Perkins A9X hatch.
Other support categories include the V8 Utes and the GT Performance series.
I reckon the Group C and A cars will steal the show. It will be good to run in front of 10,000 race fans and I think AVESCO, the V8 Supercar organisers, will be really happy with the show and will invite us to support rounds of the full V8 Supercar series. AVESCO are really into giving the race fans a good support program and when they see how much the crowd are into our cars they will want us back for more!
Anyone in Sydney, Goulburn, or Canberra or anywhere in between should go to the effort to get along and have a look.
See you there.
Yellow.

I wish I wasn't so far away as I would love to be there and get some snaps of your car as I don't have any in my growing collection yet.
If any other forumers are going can you get some pics and post them for the rest of us to enjoy.

For those who like their motorsport served up with variety.. This meeting has something for everyone!
V8 supercars no doubt have top billing at this meeting but the support categories will offer just as much (if not more) entertainment for the spectators on the hill.
Supports include V8 Utes, Australian performance cars and the Group C and Group A Touring cars.
Wakefield Park is a very spectator friendly environment to watch motor racing at, with nearly all of the track visable from most vantage points.A good viewing point is from the side of the hill opposite the pit area, park on the hill and look down on the action!
Practice friday 30/3/07. Qualifying Saturday 31/3/07. Racing Sunday 1/4/07.
On a personal note... a huge "thank you" to Michael (yellowa9xs) for making avaliable to me the opportunity to to race in a category that has long been a favorite of mine.To grid up amongst some of the most iconic cars to ever race in Australia is always going to be a highlight of my racing career.
Hatchman..... I could try and snap a pic of the leaders as they blast past me on about lap 5 if you like! not sure how still I will be able to hold the camera though!!!
Hope to see as many Torana fans there as possible....
Cheers Greg...

Friday practice was a bit of hussle for both Michael and myself with a couple of little items needing a spanner or 2! Both cars ran well in late practice and the stage was set for a good qualifying session Saturday morning....
Saturday qualifing and my decision to run as many laps as i could squeeze in the allotted time was rewarded with a time .02seconds inside the cars previous best time. STOKED!
Michael, having already posted the 4th fastest time of the session and only marginally slower than full time V8 supercar driver Paul Morris, (JPS BMW), decided he would run an extra lap to try for more speed..... Result, a broken diff centre!
Still, 4th fastest in the session and a spare diff in the trailer and things were still good!
Lightning fast work on the spanners by Michael's mechanic, Michael #2 saw the A9X ready to race, complete with new diff centre in under 40 minutes!! great work Michael.
Race 1 and 2 saw bothMichael and myself make up 1 position each.
Race 3 was over 8 laps distance and saw the A9X drop it's lap times into the 1.08's and come home in 4th place an outstanding result for a car that was suffering with a fair bit of understeer following the diff change.
The Gemini continued to improve throughout the day and really shone in the 8 lapper lowering it's lap times by a further 2.7seconds and making up 2 places throughout the race.....the Gemini ran faultlesly all weekend without hardly a spanner touching it from Saturday through Sunday!
All in all a fantastic weekend racing.. The guys from the Group C/A asociation made me feel very welcome, the racing was close but fair, and to be out racing amongst some of the cars that as a kid i sat mesmerised watching go round the Mountain, was a bigger thrill than i can begin to describe!
Thanks Michael, once again for the opportunity.
See you'se at the next round of the "BIG BANGERS"..........
Cheers Greg..
