Rather than start a new topic with the same header,
found this code today on a wreck. the interesting thing was the head lining was the same colour blue as my slr which I have not beeen able to match.

Anyway the code is 1898-14V

thanks
Mike

thanks arrimar,
dove grey makes sense, the 1898 is a blue of some sort I would imagine.

1898 is Deauville blue, dove grey trim is a very early LH colour.

Houndstooth looks like the David Jones pattern and is rare in LX as it is a dealer option. Herringbone is the most likely in an 18X trim. herringbone is often reffered to as Sargeant's stripes.

My trim code on the LH is 1905-18V

the car currently has black vinyl, with black golf ball inserts, is it correct?

19V is Black with a vinyl insert for a 74 LH.
18V may be Slate Black with a vinyl insert for a later LH and LX.

James

EDIT: BTW 1905 is Jamaica Lime paint.

Hey JBM,
19V as black with Vinyl inserts doesn't seem right for LH, I thought it was Black with houndstooth, can anyone confirm? And is vinyl mean the grey golfball material inserts? and does it differ with LX?
